Reforestation

‘Reforestation’ might just as easily been titled ‘ ‘Reworked’. I basically gave up on it two nights ago. It just wasn’t working, so I turned off the light and went upstairs. However Julie had been down in our studio earlier and commented on how well it was coming along. “Nope. I will wash the paint off tomorrow, and use the canvas for a collage,” I said. However, when I went downstairs next morning I looked at it again. Maybe, it might work if I changed a few things. And I put it back on my easel, and made changes to the foliage, heightened the meadow, and tidied up some of the background.  Before lunch I had a piece I was quite happy with. The power of a passing comment!
