Blog 2: Along the Siphon Draw Trail

Now I  have two completed plein air pieces from the Lost Dutchman State Park, one panel painted in the mid-morning, the other in the mid-afternoon. Big differences in colour choice and values.

It's been a good start to the new year. I hope to keep this up and certainly I have no weather complaints. However, I'm sure that I'll have more to say about the weather as my blog continues. Most blogs I read from other plein air artists do.

You may have noticed that unlike many watercolourists,  I use panels and canvases for my surfaces, something I've been developing over the last six years. No need for glass this way and the colours are brighter. I'll talk more about this in my next blog.
